Hello and once again another month has passed us by so welcome to my May Favourites! Every month I talk to you about the things I've been loving from Books to Beauty and TV and Film. So here they are!
Books:
Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom a colouring book adventure
I've been after an adult colouring book for a while since they do seem to be the new trend, and I have always been a fan of colouring. I was lucky enough to pick this one up on offer at sainsburys for £3.99 instead of the usual £9.99 as I couldn't resist as it's full of beautifully intricate animal designs.
The Harry Potter Series
I've been re-reading them (in case you hadn't seen) and let's face they're always my favourite. Always.
TV:
Hannibal
After giving in to recommendations to watch it, I finally did. It's definitely not something I'd usually choose to watch but I'm surprisingly enjoying it.
Film:
Far From the Madding Crowd: This isn't usually the kind of film I see in the cinema, a film I'd watch yes but probably once I've recorded it from the TV. I haven't read much Hardy, only Tess and I haven't seen any other adaptations so I didn't really know what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I love Carrie Mulligan, which only added to my love of her character the beautiful, strong, independent Bathsheba Everdene and her troubles in love.
Food and Drink:
Galaxy Salted Caramel
They now do small bars and it's like a dream come true after I had to stop myself devouring one of the big bars in one go.
Beauty:
Barry M speedy quick dry nail paint - 'in a heart beat'
Barry M gelly high shine nail paint - 'sugar plum' : So now summer is upon us I felt I needed some new bright colours in my nail polish collection. I probably have plenty but any excuse to buy some new colours, but I just love these two as they give that bright pop I need for the summer months (especially the pink -in a heart beat) and I've been alternating between the two. Thank goodness for the 3 for 2 in Superdrug for encouraging me to get one more than I needed
Loreal Colour Riche Matte Lipstick- #228 VIP: I first saw this coral beauty on Vivanna Does Makeup and its one of those shades I was missing in my collection. It just gives that beautiful summery pop of colour to my makeup and is sneaking it's way into my everyday routine.
Miscellaneous:
Washi tape
Okay so this is pretty random, but I bought some with a really nice design on at the beginning of the month and it just gives a nice little touch to something plain.
Duolingo
I've been using this for a month now and I'm really enjoying using it to learn another language. I'm currently learning French, but what I love most is that it gets you to practice writing in the language as well as speaking and reading. It also picks up on your weak skills and gives the opportunity to improve on them.
iPhone
I always insisted I wouldn't give into the iPhone craze and that it just wasn't for me. Well I've been proven wrong, that's for sure (and I don't often admit that) but I've been pretty much glued to my iPhone since I got it. Having had a Sony Xperia for the past two years (don't ever get one) having a phone with storage space and a better camera and better ... Everything is just dream.
