Craft || Starting to Scrapbook

If you saw my craft haul the other day then you will have seen that I want to start scrapbooking. In January I finally caved and bought a Fujifilm Instax Camera after constantly seeing them on the internet (and being jealous of my sister's). After a long awaited outing with it I needed somewhere to keep my photos, especially after they'd been sitting in my purse for almost a month and thought it would be a fun little project to scrapbook them rather than just buy an album from eBay.

My first step was sticking in one of my envelopes in the back, because I always keep my tickets or momentos from trips out and thought this would be a nice way to store them all neatly if I don't want to  stick them in on the page.

Next up I started on the actual pages. As in this instance, and in most instances I'm likely to be taking more than one photo with this camera I want to remember what the event was and the date of it. So to write these in I stuck in two strips of washi tape, one longer than the other. Then with a sharpie I wrote the day and what I did.

After this the most important part, adding the photos. I stuck mine in using photo corners, just so I have the option to take them out and put them back in whenever I want. I firstly slotted the photo in two of these, on opposite corners (I didn't really see the point of using more) and then stuck them in like this so I didn't put the corners in too far apart.

I did the same on the next page and this time covered over the corners using washi tape and ribbon. I may go back and do some doodles on the first page but I didn't think of it at the time.

Then as this was all the photos I was sticking in I went ahead and prepped my next page. I decided to make use of my bunting and placed this on the page imitating real bunting placing it up and down, drawing the string in after. I then place a strip of washi tape along the bottom to write the event date on.

I still haven't decided on whether or not to decorate the front cover, but this definitely something to do later on as I update it and come to a decision.
