Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies
It's year six for Harry and Voldemort is only gaining more power and has set an important task for Draco Malfoy to complete. Harry is once again spending the summer with the Weasleys and is mourning another death, his Godfather Sirius Blacks.
Now as a sixth year Harry can focus only on the subjects that will help him become an Auror, as there's a new potions master he can advance to NEWT level but unfortunately this means Snape has got what he wants and is the defence against the dark arts teacher. Unexpectedly from the help of the Half Blood Prince Harry is now top of the class in potions, although there is something dark and mysterious about the book and the notes and spells within. As well as his normal lessons Harry is having private lessons with Dumbledore learning the secrets to Voldemort's past and how a troubled young orphan rose to be the darkest wizard of all time. One thing that is bugging Harry the most though is what is Malfoy up to and where does he keep going that's not on the map, and is he actually a death eater now?
Favourite moments:
Dumbledore and Harry's conversations at the beginning of Summer 'Spoke like you mother and father's son and Sirius' true godson'
'I see a light in kitchen. Let us not deprive Molly longer of the chance to deplore how thin you are' Oh how everyone in the wizarding world knows well of Molly Weasley's power and need to mother everyone who enters her home.
Every single hand on the Weasley clock now pointing to moral peril and Mr Weasleys greatest desire 'To find out how an aeroplane stays up'
Calling Fleur 'Phelgm'
The Weasley's joke shop and the fact they'll only give Ron a tiny discount despite being their brother 'Three Galleons, nine Sickles. I'll knock off the Knut'
'Harry told him. It was a mark of their friendship that Ron did not laugh' after Draco Malfoy's attack of Harry on the train
Harry's cheek toward Snape after the years of torture 'There's no need to call me "sir", Professor.' but Snape does not take cheek even from the 'Chosen One'
The fact that the small joy in their lives is that they are able to swear in Herbology now they're dealing with more dangerous plants.
Harry acknowledging that reading a textbook is plain weird it is 'as Ron rightly said, indecent in anybody except Hermione'
The description of Harry's emotion upon catching Dean and Ginny snogging. Extremely powerful and accurate in portaying his mixture and uncertainty of his feelings upon the situation. You can dismiss the books for being children's books but the detail and description is brilliant.
Hermione's attempt to make Ron jealous as she states she only dates 'Really good Qudditch players'
Luna's replacing Lee Jordan as Qudditch commentator is just brilliant, she clearly seems to know nothing about how the game is played, let alone any of the players names, poor Mcgonagall
Peeves interferance in the interaction with the two house elves.
The whole history within the book and getting to see further into Voldemort than ever before, the boy that preceeded the man who became the darkest wizard the world has seen.
